while improving your cardiovascular
health.
Simply by being in the water, it makes
it easier on our joints. An ideal thing
for us aging folks and people with
injuries or chronic conditions.
The benefits you might receive by
engaging in regular exercise:
Boost Mood
Support better sleep
Maybe even improve brain, gastrointestinal, and bone health and
decrease chronic disc disease!
Why not give it a try? Hope to see
you in the pool real soon!
Woodworkers Club
The Del Webb Woodworkers provides
community service to our residents
and neighbors by taking on projects
that are too small for most companies to do. Projects that residents
need assistance with, such as making
minor repairs on wood furniture,
(antique or contemporary), refin-

ishing, fabricating, or creating special
projects. The fees for most of these
projects are minimum and go to
support the club. Our members are
retired skilled carpenters, artists, and
hobby woodworkers who enjoy
working with wood and helping
others.
So, if you or your club has a need for
something built, fabricated, repaired,
or restored, give us a call and we’ll
have someone discuss it with you. As
always, we are looking for new
members.

Writers’ Bloc Club
The grandkids are back in school,
your life is a bit quieter, and perhaps
now you’re looking back on all the
precious memories made over the
summer. Photos are wonderful, but
how about those instances where
you wish you could have captured in
writing your thoughts and emotions
during an especially fun outing, or
upon hearing an interesting or
poignant comment your grandchild
said, or in learning some fascinating
or surprising fact from the kids? Don’t
let those favorite memories and
experiences that photos can’t provide
slip away – get them written down on
the page for posterity! What a great
idea, right? If you need a little boost
to get started, why not join us in the
Writers’ Bloc Club? It’s a fine way to
be inspired, encouraged and appreciated, to gain valuable information
and feedback, and to meet some very
nice people who write all kinds of
things – short stories and creative
fiction, memoirs, and more.
Writers’ Bloc meets the first and third
Thursdays of each month at 10 am in
the Game Room at the Horizon
Center. There are no dues, and all are
welcome, no matter your writing
experience. Come check us out!
