snowbirds. The game is also known
as “3/13” and “Progressive Rummy”.
We play for money – each game
consists of 11 rounds for a nickel each
and we play two games worth a dime
each. We also have an optional
biggest loser for a nickel. Where else
can you go for a $1.35 night’s entertainment as well as refreshments?
New members are always welcome
and anyone wanting to learn the
game, please arrive at 6:10 and we
will review the game and rules with
you. The rules and contact information are available on the Club page of
the HOA website. After playing three
times with us we ask that you join
and pay the $5 dollar dues. Bring
your nickels and a few dimes and join
us, Wednesday evenings in the Game
Room for some fun and you just might
go home with a little extra in your
pocket. Please arrive by 6:20 pm so
that we can assign tables and begin
play promptly at 6:30 pm.
Pickleball Club
Purpose
We are a group who love pickleball
and have joined together to promote
the sport by introducing new players,
organize leagues, schedule social
activities, host tournaments, and play
lots of pickleball here in the Del
Webb community. Annual membership is $10. Applications can be found
at our website, at the courts and in
our mailbox at the Horizon Center.
Training/Orientation
If you are new to pickleball, or just
want a refresher, we have weekly
instruction times (Tuesdays 9:30 am),
leagues and strategy classes from
time to time. Various Leagues are
held Monday – Friday, to include
men’s, ladies’ and mixed leagues.
Check the website leagues page for
details/times. Courts 11 and 12 are
always available for open play.
Equipment
There is a limited supply of used
paddles that remain at the courts to
use for those new to the sport until a
paddle can be purchased. Balls are

supplied by the club to be used on
our courts. Paddles can be purchased
online or at various local stores.

Pinochle Club
We meet every Wednesday evening
at about 6 pm, playing single deck
Pinochle. Play starts at 6:30 pm sharp,
often a combination of three and four
handed tables.
In addition, a smaller group meets on
Fridays at 12:30 pm. Play starts at
1 pm, playing Pinochle variations
including three, four and five handed,
single and double deck games.
We play in the Card/Game Room in
the Horizon Center nearest the pool.
Everyone is welcome, come join us,
it’s only $1.”

The Poker Club
The Poker Club Hosts Thrilling Texas
Hold’em Tournaments
The Poker Club is inviting all card
players to join its Texas Hold’em tournaments. Designed for both seasoned
players and newcomers, the tournaments offer an exciting opportunity
to showcase poker skills, meet fellow
players, and enjoy a friendly yet
competitive atmosphere.
Tournaments are every Tuesday and
the second, fourth, and fifth Sundays
of each month.
Tournaments begin at 5:45 pm in the
Game Room. Players are encouraged
to arrive by 5:15 pm for registration
and seating. The entry fee is just $26.
All skill levels are welcome, from firsttime players with beginner skills to
experienced competitors eager for a
challenge. “We want to create a fun
and social environment where everyone can feel comfortable playing,” a
club spokesperson said.
Participants are encouraged to bring
friends to enjoy the company and
spirited gameplay.

Artists Club
Our club includes quilters, sewers,
needle artists of all kinds, art quilters,
machine embroiderers, & Cricut
artists. Skill levels & experience vary
from beginner to advanced. Please
check the Fountain calendar for
meeting days and times. Our monthly
calendar is also posted in the Craft
Room. Membership is $10 per year.

(Machine Cutting) Artists
A Cricut is an electronic cutting
machine that can cut all sorts of
designs from materials like paper,
vinyl, card stock, leather, wood and
iron-on transfers.
The Cricut Group meets the second
Saturday of each month at 9 am to
Noon. Discussions and presentations
begin at 10 am. Each month there is a
theme (i.e, rolled paper flowers,
lanterns, custom cards, stickers, vinyl
