Book Discussion
September hosts numerous awareness events including two that are
near and dear to our club members:
Healthy Aging, and Library Card
Sign-up Month. It also signifies the
start of a new academic year and this
association with education has shaped
various traditions and practices
around the world such as celebratingInternational Literacy Day, promoting
the importance of literacy for all.
This month the hot summer weather
is finally starting to let up, with cooler
nights, perfect for reading time.
Grand kids are back in school giving
us more leisure time and thankfully
there are so many wonderful books
for our enjoyment.
Come join this wonderful Discussion
Group where members and guests
may attend monthly meetings for
interesting and enlightening discussions of fiction novels.
The group meets in the Game-Room
the second Friday of each month.
Normally we have an optional 10 am
social half-hour and at 10:30 am club
updates. Our book discussion will
follow featuring All The Broken Places
by John Boyne on September 11th
and By Any Other Name by Jodi
Picoult on October 9th.
