“Two acceptable excuses for not
leading your Partner’s suit is having
no cards in his suit, and sudden
death.” Alfred Sheinwold.
Albert Einstein said: “A life chiefly
directed toward fulfillment of
personal desire sooner or later
always leads to disappointment”.
Make sure to lead your Partner’s suit
and fulfill that Bridge Contract. Have
a great month playing Bridge.
ER Ladies 9-Hole Golf
Golfers love the month of October.
We couple the beauty of the game
of golf with the beauty of nature.
There is the delight of food and
spirits with Halloween, Octoberfest,
Wine Making Month, and World
Food Day. Think of ways to combine
these events with our beloved
pastime.
Our league is recognized as a lighthearted, fun-loving club of serious
golfers. Join for $20 but you may
play three times as a guest before
committing.
Election of officers for 2027 will take
place on the 22nd so please think
about volunteering for positions.
The GAR season resumes October
12th, so sign up early for playing at
Royal Oaks Golf Course and at
Summer Glen on November 19th.
Thanks to all who organized and
worked on the very enjoyable Ice
Cream Social last month. Note that
volunteers will be needed for one of
our favorite events, the Diamond
Cup held on 11/5.

We hope our snowbirds are back so
we have a big group to play again.
The hot summer kept too many
people away. We’ve missed you! It’s
always fun to get out the fall decorations remembering the leaves
turning beautiful colors up north
while we are still warm. That means
we always need sunscreen and
hydration on the golf course and we
can still take a cooling dip in our
beautiful swimming pools. Won’t you
join us for fun golf and fellowship?
