Fountain Woodcarvers
If you have ever wanted to be
creative and have fun at the same
time, you should join the Fountain
Woodcarvers every Tuesday morning
from 8 – 11 am in the Horizon Center.
We have mostly novices and a few
experienced carvers, and all would
be happy to teach, share their experiences, and show you how to create
memorable woodwork that you can
pass down to your grandchildren. To
start with, knives and cutting tools
are available, as well as wood soft
enough to keep you interested. Feel
free to drop by and observe or jump
right in anytime. This is a hobby you
can continue past your pickleball
and tennis days without fear of
going to see the orthopedic doctors!
Come join the mirth and merriment
and meet some of the nicest people
in Del Webb.

There will be NO Garden Club
Meeting in July, but come enjoy
another fun and informative program
at the August 18th meeting. Thank
you to everyone who participated in
our Brunch and Plant Sale in April. It
was a wonderful, fun event with
amazing food and beautiful plants.
July is the peak of summer, and while
our gardens are in full bloom, the
soaring temperatures require extra
diligence. To keep your garden
thriving, focus on consistent hydration. Water your plants and hanging
baskets in the early morning to minimize evaporation. Applying a fresh
layer of mulch – at least two inches
thick – is essential to retain soil
moisture and protect roots from the
intense sun. Don’t forget regular
maintenance. Regular deadheading
of spent blossoms will encourage
new growth and keep flower beds
looking neat. Keep an eye out for
pests and diseases like powdery
