ER Ladies
9-Hole Golf Club
Golfing in Florida has its pros and
cons. August is our hottest month so
as seasoned golfers we follow certain
guidelines.
• Start your round early in the
morning, when the temperatures
are cooler.
• Stay hydrated by drinking plenty
of water throughout the round.
Aim to drink at least one full bottle
of water per hour.
• Take breaks in the shade or in
air-conditioned areas.
• Wear light, loose-fitting clothing
that will help you stay cool.
• Apply sunscreen and reapply it
regularly.
• Listen to your body and stop
playing if you feel overheated or
dizzy.
By following these tips, you can enjoy
a round of golf in hot weather without
putting your health at risk.
Our league at 45 members, proudly
recognizes Women’s Equality Day in
August and dismisses the original
meaning of GOLF (Gentlemen Only,
Ladies Forbidden).
Join the league anytime ($20) but
you may play three times as a guest
before committing.

It’s still HOT so remember to stay
hydrated and sun screened! There’s
lots of time for golf since we play in
the morning and enjoy the breezes.
Historically August 26th commemorates the 1920 adoption of the
Nineteenth Amendment granting us
women the right to vote. The primaries are this month on the Tuesday
the 18th so don’t forget to vote! It’s
